The Globe

The Journal of the Australian and New Zealand Map Society

The Globe, is the Society’s long-standing journal, publishing research articles, selected conference papers, and other contributions from academics, professionals, and enthusiasts with an interest in maps and cartography. Issued twice a year, it offers a forum for sharing new insights and discoveries in the study of maps and mapping, along with highlights from the Society’s annual conference.

The journal welcomes original, well-written, and well-illustrated submissions on all aspects of cartography. Topics may include—but are not limited to—historical cartography, map interpretation and analysis, contemporary developments in cartography, and Indigenous cartographies.

Each issue also features a substantial book review section.
