Mastering Maps – Free public session Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, Tuesday May 23

‘Mastering maps’ is the 45th conference held by the Australian & New Zealand Map Society, a group of map collectors, researchers and map-lovers generally, who put on a conference each year and publish a magazine The Globe.

The conference this year consists of workshops on Monday May 22, and then on Tuesday May 23 a day of talks about map research and projects, at the at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, 210 Lonsdale Street, near the State Library.

This year there is an open (Free) public session on the Tuesday morning, 9-10.30am, featuring -9.00-9.30am Alby Hamilton & Marika Kocsis, State Library of Victoria –  Meek’s Atlas: Conservation treatment of an oversized rolled chart
