Thanks to all who supported and attended the annual conference of the Australian & New Zealand Map Society, May 22-23, organised in conjunction with the State Library of Victoria and University of Melbourne. Participants included map librarians and collection staff of NSLA libraries, map researchers, collectors and GIS professionals. A great workshop at the Baillieu Library led participants in using historical maps with Google Earth and other apps. The State Library of Victoria provided an extensive session with practical advice on managing and caring for map collections. Research presentations were held at the Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, Lonsdale Street (a really good venue).
